HOW TO BOOK

How many sessions will I need?

Most people find 6 to 8 weekly one-hour sessions of counselling to be the most helpful – weekly counselling gives you a chance think about things between sessions. Knowing you have another session booked might help you get through the week.

Some people need to continue with more sessions before they feel ready to move on, others might need just one hour.  What will work best for you is something we can discuss.  You might decide after a while that you’d like greater intervals between sessions and we can agree then to talk fortnightly.

Evening and weekend appointments are available.

Get in touch:

Send me a message at the bottom of this page with a brief description of what you need help with and whether you’d prefer to use Skype, Zoom, FaceTime, email or phone.  I’ll contact you with some suggested timeframes for an introductory session.

I might ask a few questions to establish whether this service is appropriate for you, for example, this form of counselling might not be suitable for someone with certain mental health conditions – if this is the case I can discuss this with you.

Free half-hour introductory session:

You have the opportunity to talk to me for half an hour to find out if I’m the right counsellor for you – this is a free introductory assessment.

Before you start: make sure you find a safe, private place for your online session so you won’t be disturbed or distracted.
